Preamble
G50, quite a cost-effective, versatile Bluetooth digital alarm clock. The total run-time duration of it isn't long enough. Its frequent charge cycles are really cumbersome. So I decided to replace its battery with one having greater capacity of about 1500mAh than its current 900mAh. But it may well be better to do it with one of 3500mAh capacity if affordable. Details are as follows. Neither any bit easy nor difficult.
-
Take off its thin plastic font cover plastic panel.
-
Inspect how its LEDs work under the cover and separate a white display panel underneath:
-
Take out all its inner parts for inspection and battery replacement.
Pull off the battery line from the board to separate the battery:
-
Prepare a new battery for the replacement:
-
Let the original battery be stripped off of all its covers to reveal its protection board strip
so that its protection structure could be inspected on the whole as follows:
-
Separate its connection power lines from the protection board:
-
Time to attach a new protection board strip to a new battery of higher capacity
and then to attach the separated power lines to the new board strip:
-
Replace the battery with the newly protected one
by connecting the replaced powerline in its original place
, on the clock's main PCB board,
where it was pulled off previously:
-
Now, put all the parts together inside its case and position every
part where each was.
Finally, assemble and fix display plates in reverse order as those were disassembled.
Then close up outmost case covers to finish the task tightening those up with screws.
That's all for the replacement procedure.
