Extract and Run for Portable PanCake
  • Install : Extract and put all of the resulting files into a directory of user's creation, for example, "C:\MyApps\PanCake64" as shown below:

But the following is not recommended for portable applications (error-prone on run or during run-time):

Important : If they are placed under the Program Files directory as shown above, PanCakeD.exe should be run with an administrator privilege(UAC) as shown below:

Or it may well be better to make it permanently run as such via its properties settings:

Otherwise, an access violation error may well occur on the run:

If this happened then it is necessary to check if an instance of PanCake is still running behind after closing the error messages via Windows Task Manager(combined [Ctrl + Alt + Del] key press invokes it). If so, it should be closed by pressing its [End Task] button located on the bottom-right corner of it, before trying running PanCake again as shown below:

    Done! That all.

  • Tips, Hints
  • Tip: It is recommended and customary not to place portable applications under the Program Files directory in usual cases.

  • A virus detection application might report that its safety is not guaranteed or show messages somewhat similar. But it is due to the fact that the executable file has not been digitally signed via a trusted method, which takes certain amount of price. As such, it is safe to use PanCake as the user does with other usual applications.
